I have a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Carleton University, and have earned a 40 hour TEFL Certification. For a combined 2 years I had the opportunity to work as an English teacher in Ulsan, South Korea and London, Ontario, instructing a variety of students from various backgrounds, English levels and age. This has required me to modify lesson plans to suit the needs of the class, while also accommodating the needs of individual students. As a result, I am a patient teacher who remains sensitive to individual needs, offering positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated. My goal is to foster an open, communicative and supportive environment in which the student feels comfortable in participating in all activities.
